Velagapudi Ramakrishna Siddhartha Engineering College (VRSEC), established in 1977, is a premier self-financed engineering institution located in Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh. In 2024, it was declared a deemed-to-be university under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956, by the Ministry of Education, Government of India. Admission Process:

Admissions to VRSEC are categorized into two:

• Category A (70% of seats): Filled by the Government of Andhra Pradesh based on the norms approved by the government.
• Category B (30% of seats): Filled by the college as per the norms approved by the Government of Andhra Pradesh.

Lateral entry candidates are admitted directly into the third semester as per the government norms.

Scholarship:

VRSEC offers merit-based scholarships across all programs, covering up to 30% of the intake in respective courses on a first-come, first-served basis. The continuation of scholarships in subsequent years requires students to maintain a minimum of 75% attendance and a 7.5 CGPA without backlogs.

Hostel Facilities:

The college provides separate, secure hostel accommodations for both boys and girls, accommodating over 725 students.
